Dlaczego? Już Effect na sterydachO szykowanych zmianach w oprawie wizualnej poszczególnych części serii pisałem już przy okazji pierwszych wrażeń z zamkniętego pokazu Mass Effect: Legendary Edition. Ktoś powie pewnie teraz, że się czepiam, bo przecież zremasterowana „jedynka” wygląda i działa dużo lepiej od tej starej, z zainstalowanymi się, tyle tylko, że nawet z ulepszeniami w interfejsie i grafice nowa wersja Mass Effect pełna jest mniej lub bardziej denerwujących archaizmów pokroju systemu zarządzania umiejętnościami czy choćby obchodzenia zabezpieczeń. Zresztą, nawet w samej oprawie wizualnej zdarzają momenty, w których poprawione tekstury czy lepsze oświetlenie nie wystarczają by ukryć fakt, że Mass Effect to gra, która ma już swoje lata. By nie być gołosłownym, rzućcie okiem na prezentowane screeny – gdy w przeciągu kilku minut serwowane są nam tak różne jakościowo sceny zderzenie z rzeczywistością bywa jeszcze silniejsze. Nie zrozumcie mnie źle – powrót do pierwszego Mass Effect okazał się naprawdę miłym doznaniem. Wiem jednak, że w moim przypadku zadziałała nostalgia i chęć przypomnienia sobie nieco już zatartej we wspomnieniach historii. Nie potrafię jednak bezkrytycznie podejść do zaserwowanego nam odświeżenia. No bo co z tego, że poprawiono sterowanie MAKO, jak cały ten element rozgrywki wygląda czasami jak nie z tej bajki. Co z tego, że lekko zmieniono interfejs ekwipunku jak w ogóle nie czuć w czasie gry tych wyższych parametrów broni. No i jeszcze te „koła” wyboru umiejętności, które na konsoli sterowane są lewą „gałką”…A cały czas mówimy przecież dopiero o pierwszej części z całego pakietu. Tej, w której zmiany i ulepszenia są najlepiej widoczne. W zremasterowanym Mass Effect 2 i Mass Effect 3 poprawki są dużo bardziej subtelne, choć i tu da się je zauważyć. Nostalgiczna topornośćPewnie teraz narażę się sporej rzeszy najbardziej zagorzałych fanów komandora Sheparda i spółki, ale co tam, ktoś powiedzieć to musi – Mass Effect: Legendary Edition to lep na wiedzionych nostalgią graczy.
